The short version
- The free check is free, with no obligation.
- Paid work is covered by a separate written agreement that we both sign first.
- Nobody controls Google or AI assistants, so we never guarantee rankings, calls or recommendations.
- Your pages, data and accounts stay yours.

Using this website
- The information here is general. It isn't advice for your particular business.
- We work to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's complete or up to date.
- Please don't misuse the site, for example by trying to break into it or overload it.
- The words, design and graphics on this site belong to us. You can share links to it freely.
The free recommendation check
- It's free and there's no obligation to buy anything.
- We ask Google, Google Maps and AI assistants the kind of questions your customers ask, using their official services, and show you the answers. We don't scrape anyone's website or app.
- Answers change from day to day, so the check is a snapshot of what we saw on the day we ran it.
- A person reviews every check before it's sent to you. We may decline a request, for example if we can't find the business.
- We use the details you give us only to run the check and reply to you. See our privacy policy.
Our paid service
Before we do any paid work, we both sign a written service agreement. It sets out the package, the price, what we do, what you approve and how either of us can end it. If that agreement and these terms ever disagree, the agreement wins.
Founding clients: the first 5 to sign up get 25% off for 6 months in return for a written case study with their name, business type and dated results, published only with their sign-off.
A few things are always true:
- You approve every change. Nothing goes on your website or Business Profile until you've approved it.
- No guarantees. We measure and report honestly, including what didn't move, but we can't promise rankings, calls, enquiries or being recommended.
- No shortcuts. We don't write fake reviews, buy links, post as fake customers or use methods that break Google's rules.
- Everything stays yours. Pages we make for you, your data and your accounts are yours, and you keep them if you leave.
Connecting Google Search Console
- If you connect Google Search Console, that gives us read-only access to your Google Search Console data. We can't change anything in your account.
- Only connect a website you're allowed to share data for.
- You can disconnect at any time, by emailing us, or from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- How we handle this data is set out in our privacy policy.
Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
- This website and the free check are provided free of charge. We're not responsible for business losses, such as lost profit or lost opportunities, that come from using them.
- Responsibility for paid work is set out in the service agreement.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
